Environmental concerns about spaceship earth. During the past centuries, mankind has made numerous short term impacts on the earth's environment. In most cases, nature has been able to over come the damage. Mankind has been responsible for the extinction of hundred of species; but nature has been responsible for mass distinctions of thousands of species. In the future, people will need to understand the long term environmental impacts since the dangers and opportunities will be significantly greater than anything mankind has dealt with in the past. It is imperative that we live in harmony with our environment. |
