People in spacecraft will be able to travel to space stations orbiting the earth in minutes, the moon in hours, planets in days, and with advanced technology, the stars in weeks. As science and technology will pushed people's imagination, the colonization of space will turn the Star Trek Dream into Reality.
Opportunities will be unlimited. Although the economic benefits will be measured in thousands of trillions of dollars, the real benefits will come from billions of people being able to live out their dreams and make the world a better place to live. By understanding matter and antimatter, people will be able to take advantage of the exciting advances science & technology.

Dangers come from our environment and people misunderstanding the potential of antimatter. Scientists have observed kilograms of residual antimatter from sungrazer comets that have collided with the Sun. Other astronomers simply refuse to accept the existence antimatter.
On July 4, 2005, NASA collided a 372 kilogram Deep Impact spacecraft into the 9P/Tempel 1 comet and confirmed that comets are natural sources of antimatter. The initial explosion and nineteen-hour spectacular show produced a billion times more energy than scientists had estimated.

The spacecraft's impact resulted in a 67 trillion mega-joules or enough energy to supply the entire World's energy needs for one year.

Fortunately for humanity, the comet wasn't based into trillions of pieces. Armageddon was avoided this time, but will humanity be this lucky next time.
The United States should use antimatter from comets like the 9P/Tempel 1 comet to help bring every country into the twenty-first century and turn the Star Trek Dream into Reality.
Our destiny depends upon our leaders. Lets hope, they make the right decisions the next time.
